GENERAL POLICIES·

Consultation

We are always open to Free Consultations and encourage all clients to come into the shop for an in-person consult to better discuss your vision.

Wear casual, loose-fitted clothes to your consult that exposes the designated tattoo area as your artist may draw directly on your skin with markers to map out/brainstorm your design. Consultations can be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour and must be scheduled like an appointment to ensure your artist is readily available.

Reschedule / Cancellation

Be sure to notify your artist at least 48 hours beforehand if you must Reschedule your session for any reason. You can reschedule twice before a new deposit is required.

Failure to notify your artist within 48 hours will result in a forfeited deposit. A “no-call, no show” will also forfeit your deposit.

Arriving more than 30 minutes late to your session will result in a forfeited deposit and cancelled session.

Deposit Policy

Each artist in the Shop books and prices individually, so they each take different deposit amounts (typically $50 to $200) and this ensures you are serious about booking your session.

The deposit amount is always deducted from the total price of your session.

Typically, artists require one deposit per session.

They are accepted via Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo, PayPal, or as Cash dropped off in shop. We also accept Credit Cards for deposits in shop.

ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

Long Session Prep

Tattooing is exhausting to the body, you will lose blood and vital energy during long sessions. It is important to prepare your body with the nourishment it needs to make it through the day. Here at the shop, we cannot stress the importance of a full night’s rest and a big breakfast before your session. Bring lunch too, if necessary.

The shop does offer a wide variety of sugar-packed snacks but you are welcomed to bring your own snacks, blanket, headphones, or any distraction that might help you relax during your long session.

Ask your artist first about Numbing Cream on your skin, especially if you are booking a Full Day. Excessive use of numbing on the skin will not last all day and will only hurt the tattoo more towards the end of your long sessions. There are also several health risks associated with the heavy use of lidocaine. —  We do offer numbing sprays that help with the pain during the process.

Skin Prep

It is an additional benefit and your artist just might love you forever if you moisturize the designated tattoo area with lotion or coconut oil in the days, even weeks leading up to your appointment. This will hydrate and revitalize the skin to its fullest extent, allowing it to retain the ink better and your tattoo will feel like a breeze.

Your artist will likely decline your appointment if the skin is severely sunburnt, area has a rash, burn, or any blemish that will interfere with the design.

Notify your artist of any scars, freckles, or surrounding tattoos in your tattoo submission

Communication

The whole process of getting a tattoo, especially your first, can be nerve-wrecking, so it’s important to use your words. During your consult or your appointment; Don’t be shy! We are here for you and the shop is your home too. If you are chilly, we can turn up the air, whether you want silence or your own music/show on the TV, we got you. If you prefer sunlight or shades down, all you gotta do is ask. Comfort is our highest priority.

Be thorough and descriptive with your tattoo ideas. Include sizing, several references, pictures of the area, other tattoos that inspire you, let your artist know about every last detail to ensure perfection for your skin.
